We have been waiting to be able to release this collaborative episode featuring the ultra woke girls over at Chuski Pop. Meet Sweety and Pappu. Tune in to their podcast every second Saturday to hear us share our adventures, staying woke and generally not going gentle into the night. And oh, they love rainbows, glitter stickers, cats, man buns, dudes with impressive facial foliage, and would wait for an eternity if that meant that they could finally make ‘fetch’ happen. On this week's episode we talk to the incredibly inspiring, intelligent & strong Alexa Rahman. She tells her full story, on her terms, for the first time ever. We are truly floored by the power in which Alexa took her life back after being in an abusive relationship & to see her fight back against Domestic Violence with complete relentlessness. It's time we start teaching kids about the realities of love, dating & sexual assault in every form. If we are teaching them sexual education & about birth control, we need to be having a real discussion about pregnancy, assault, domestic violence & what a healthy relationship actually looks like. ---- As always thank you to Brown Girl Magazine, the online publication that helps empower young South Asian women in the United States. One in 5 women and one in 71 men will be raped in their lifetime. It's time to start educating people early on that sex should always be consensual and rape is NEVER acceptable. We cannot continue to allow people to get their knowledge from TV, movies or porn anymore. On this week's episode of Chai Tea Party, we open up the uncomfortable conversation about the inadmissible act of rape. Ignorance is not bliss and silence is not an option. Thank you to Vik Sevak aka Junglee for this episodes music. Find more of his work at @junglee-1 www.ChaiTeaPartyShow.com ChaiTeaPartyShow@gmail.com
