On May 4th, Sagar Rana, a 24 year old wrestler and a former junior national champion was beaten to death and his two friends were physically assaulted. And the person who is said to be involved in this incident is the two-time Olympic medalist and arguably India’s biggest sports personality, wrestler Sushil Kumar.A FIR has now been filed against Kumar and he is currently on the run from the police. But this case is yet another reminder of the notorious link between crime and wrestling.
