Thanks for praying and worshiping with me today. As always, our Scripture readings and general order come from the Book of Common Prayer (1979) Daily Office. In the Church calendar, it is Ordinary Time, Proper 22. We’ll begin by singing “I Need You, Lord” written by me in 1998 or so. We’ll then read Psalm 80:7-14 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Gospel reading is Matthew 21:33-46. After the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Collect of the Day, we’ll have a time of guided prayer. I took today’s photo at the Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta, GA.

Thanks for praying and worshiping with me today. As always, our Scripture readings and general order come from the Book of Common Prayer (1979) Daily Office. In the Church calendar it is Ordinary Time, Proper 11. We’ll begin by singing a couple of worship songs: “O Lord, You’re Beautiful” written by Keith Green in 1980 and “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus” written by Helen Howarth Lemmel in 1922. We’ll then read Psalm 50 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Gospel reading is Matthew 26:69-75. After the Apostles’ Creed and the Lord’s Prayer, we’ll have a time of guided prayer. Our artist today is Bethanne Hill (https://www.thebethannehill.com).

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete.1 John 1:1-4
